Jeannine Flower's expressive oil paintings are shaped by light, with subjects moving through color between realism and impression, creating energy and presence that bring life to the spaces they inhabit.
She paints from the emotional resonance of the moment, where light leads, horizons unfold, and the horse, her enduring muse, is sometimes visible, sometimes a quieter signature within the painting. While the natural world and the equine form are enduring touchstones in Jeannine's work, her paintings are not confined to a single subject.
A contemporary American oil painter from Bucks County, Pennsylvania (Philadelphia region 🇺🇸), Jeannine works from her studio in Barbizon, France 🇫🇷 on the edge of the Fontainebleau Forest (Paris region). Self-taught, she returned to painting in 2017 following an international career in finance.
A member of the Société des Artistes Français, Fondation Taylor (Paris), and Oil Painters of America, Jeannine has received multiple distinctions for her work, most recently jury "Mention" at the Salon des Artistes Français (Art Capital), Grand Palais, Paris, in 2026. She exhibits in France and internationally, and her paintings are held in private collections across Europe, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
2026 DISTINCTION ~ GRAND PALAIS, PARIS
Self-taught, I first came to painting at a young age through my love for the spirit and beauty of the equine form. After many years away from the easel, I returned in 2017 charting a path as an artist 🎨.
In 2026, this path reached a meaningful milestone with distinctions at Le Salon des Artistes Français at Art Capital, Grand Palais, Paris, and Galerie Thuillier’s Prix du Jury Special Mention, following acceptance into the Fondation Taylor Paris and membership with Oil Painters of America ✨.

Honored to be Invited Artist & Official Event Partner of Longines Global Champions tour de Canne (June 2026). As artist and also amateur showjumper it was amazing to be part of this exceptional event where the energy of international showjumping met the color & light of the French Riviera.
Original oil paintings were created for CSI2* winner’s prizes and also exhibited original artwork in the VIP areas while enjoying some creative time doing live watercolor / ink studies around the venue.
